Welcome to Stroudsburg High School, Home of the Mountaineers! Established in 1854, the high school provides a four-year comprehensive academic program for our students. We recognize individual differences in our students and with our student-centered approach to scheduling. We offer a highly rigorous curriculum that is tailored to and challenges the students’ academic capabilities. Stroudsburg High School meets the needs of all, allowing the students and parents to choose from Advanced Placement, Honors, College Preparatory, Applied, Vocational-Technical, Technical Preparation, or Remedial programs.
We at Stroudsburg believe in tradition and that participation in co-curricular activities is vital to the experience of a high school student. Students at Stroudsburg High School can don the maroon and white in twenty-one PIAA approved varsity sports, along with numerous co-curricular activities which meet the interests of every student. We believe in the importance of such activities, not only to school spirit and wellness, but also in their correlation to academic success. Stroudsburg High School, with an enrollment of approximately 1500 students, maintains a small-school feel and we are proud of our traditional views and structure. The Stroudsburg High School administration, faculty, and staff are committed to excellence in education in preparing young people for the future.
