Dear Parents:

You are your child's first and foremost important teacher. As such, we as a school district are constantly striving to increase your awareness and access to information concerning your son's/daughter's education. We are excited and pleased that the Stroudsburg Area School District has implemented the Sapphire Parent Web Portal for the 2006-2007 school year which will allow parents to access their child's homeroom attendance, student schedules (9-12), mid-term progress reports, student report cards (K-12), special district and building announcements, extra curricular and athletic activities/schedules via the Internet. Changes in all provided information will be posted daily or weekly by the end of the day on Fridays.

If interested, we are offering this opportunity for you to participate in accessing this information via the Internet. Please follow the specified instructions below to participate:

1. CLICK HERE TO BEGIN THE PARENT/STUDENT WEB PORTAL PROCESS.
   
   
2. Click on and read "Parent Portal Application and Acceptable Use Policy Form".
   
   
3. Enter the district keyword "mountie" (all lower case).
   
   
4. Click on the radial button at the bottom of the page (Yes or No) - "I have read and agree to the above policies".
   
   
5. Click on "continue" button.
   
   
6. This will bring you to the Sapphire Web Portal Application. Please complete the required fields (*).
   
   
7. Click "save and print form".
   
   
8. Print out and sign the completed version of form.
   
   
9. You must visit the Technology Services office and see Mrs. Janice Halterman in order to submit your signed registration form and personal identification verification (e.g., photo ID) during school hours (7:30 a.m. - 2:35 p.m.).
   
   
10. You will receive your Personal Identification Number (PIN) via the Internet within five school days.
    
    
11. Return to the Sapphire Parent Portal to access your child's information (be sure to have your ID, Password and PIN number).

Please be assured that your child's academic records are secured and private. Access to information is restricted only by your secured logon, password and PIN number. Furthermore, the information that is posted to this site is merely a copy of the secured data file insuring that no one can alter permanent records through this application and viewing process. The information you will be viewing will be updated at various times during the day and week so you will be able to view information on a near real-time basis.

We are very pleased to offer the Parent Web Portal to our parents. All Stroudsburg Area Schools and parents will have access to the Parent Portal. However, please note that not all student information is available or may not be able to be posted at this time (e.g., discipline, daily grades for current classes, standardized test scores, homework assignments, and unofficial transcripts). Also, some areas are subject to individual teacher voluntary participation.
